| I perform a one man comedy and magic show which I tour all over the country, from Cumbria to Cornwall. The show lasts around two hours, including a twenty minute interval.
My present show is called Nothing Up My Sleeve. In it I talk about, and demonstrate, some of the techniques I use to mystify my audience – whether it‘s throwing things up my sleeves, moving my hand quicker than the eye or misdirecting with a glamorous assistant.
I also perform different branches of magic such as reading minds, sleight of hand close-up magic and my trademark, laugh-out-loud comedy magic.
Nothing Up My Sleeve is for adults and children aged 12 +. There is absolutely nothing offensive in the show but some of the humour is a little sophisticated for younger children.
Alongside the evening show, I also perform a family show (Ian Keable’s Magical Laughter Show) for all ages.
Both shows are completely self-contained. I provide all the sound and lighting and even, if necessary, staging. I also have posters, flyers and tickets. All you need to come up with is a venue and an audience!
Nothing Up My Sleeve is my second one man show. The first was called Conjuring Up Comedy in which I explained, with a mixture of anecdotes, jokes and magic, how I changed from accountant to magical comedian. |
