  School shows

I do a number of different shows and talks which are designed specifically for schools.

Magic Talk
This is a talk I give on magic that covers such areas as why magic is a great hobby to take up, how to get started, a brief history of magic, different types of magic styles, about The Magic Circle (and the Young Magicians’ Club) – but also plenty of tricks to keep everybody thoroughly entertained. It’s therefore both an informative and fun talk. The talk is probably best suited for children over 8 years old.

What a splendid evening we had from Ian Keable. Perfectly pitched, Ian gave us a delightful blend of spectacular magic tricks and a brief and interesting history of magic. The children (aged between 7 and 13) were spellbound by his mastery and comedy.
Ashdown House School, East Sussex

Ian was excellent. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed it - as our head of 6th form said, it was the perfect talk for the end of term. We will gladly have him back in the future.
Forest School, London

Magic Show
This is a magic show for schools. It’s straight entertainment but very different magic from what they have probably seen before (which would almost certainly be the traditional children’s magician). What I do is ‘proper’ magic but with the laughs still very much to the fore. Perfect as an end of term event or special treat.

The show is changed depending on the age group of the pupils: but is suitable for any child from 4 to 18, as can be seen from the following feedback.

Thank you very much for the magic show you did for the children. Our year 2 and 3 boys enjoyed it very much. It was well paced and really held their interest for the 45 minutes. A group of 110 can be quite a handful, especially when they are excited, and we were impressed with your good natured manner with the children.
Hall School, Hampstead

Ian performed two entertaining and slick end of term shows to our boys in Years Five and Six. There were approximately 100 boys watching each show. He held their attention throughout the 45 minute shows, dazzling them with magic, supported by lots of light-hearted banter. The boys were fully engaged during the shows and the feedback and appreciation from the boys the next day at school was the icing on the cake.
Dulwich College Prep School

Just a quick note to say thank you for providing the entertainment for our House supper last week for our 13 to 18 year olds. Your act was well judged for the audience, and those present, including myself, had a great time.
Aldenham School, Elstree

Sixth Form Talk
For lower and upper sixth formers I do a specialist talk called A Curious Career about my career change from Accountant to Magician. Apart from being plenty of fun, it also makes some valid and relevant points about career decisions.

This talk alone is booked through a 3rd party agent – so please get in contact if you would like to know more about this.
